Spin Cityscapes
Because Spin must pitch each market individually for the right to do business, I saw an opportunity for personalizing the pitch experience by creating custom cityscapes.
These were used on the front of nearly all of Spin’s PDF proposal covers.
The example on the left shows Chicago placed.
The use of thick black strokes in the iconography drove the decision to maintain that pattern in the illustration, and I made it a rule to always keep line weights consistent in each piece, even if sometimes the line thickness itself changed. Perspective, generally speaking, was ignored to maintain simplicity.
The only time line thickness in a piece was altered was with the application of pattern, usually thin diagonal lines or dots.
