These buttons were created for Politicon 2016 and other political events that NationBuilder had a presence at. Their purpose was to generate interest in NationBuilder's Run For Office service (http://runforoffice.org -- a free service NationBuilder offers for finding what office you want to run for, how to get on the ballot, and how to successfully launch and win your campaign).
Visitors to our event booth were photographed and asked to provide their last name, and we made them their buttons on the spot. Some folks, however, took this in a direction different than we'd intended, and provided us with their message instead--which we loved! Here's some of our favorites.
